Crishtian Hughes: Missing Man Possibly Spotted in The Haight

Search crews scoured the Haight District yesterday looking for 21-year-old Crishtian Hughes who mysteriously disappeared in San Francisco year. The renewed search came after a volunteer claimed to have spotted the missing man in the Haight District last week.

Hughes was last seen on Feb. 7, 2013, on the 900 block of Capitol Avenue in San Francisco. The San Diego man was staying with friends for the weekend when he disappeared. He was last seen at about 12:30 a.m. at the place where he was staying; his friends woke up at about 10 a.m. the next morning and said Hughes was gone.

He's not been seen or heard from since. Neither his cellphone nor his bank cards have been used, according to the Facebook page dedicated to locating Hughes.

But last week, a woman claimed to have spotted someone resembling Hughes, albeit with longer, curlier hair. It's believed that he now goes by "Chris."

Edwin Caldwell: Elderly Man With Alzheimer's Missing in San Francisco (Update)

Update Feb. 11: Good news: Caldwell was found in San Jose. He's back home, safe and sound, according to police.

Original Story: San Francisco police need your help finding Edwin Caldwell, an 81-year-old man who has been missing after he walked out of his care facility earlier today.

Officer Gordon Shyy says Caldwell walked away from the facility, located on the 1600 block of 19th Avenue, at about 10:30 a.m. Police say Caldwell has Alzheimer's and might be trying to find his way back to Ross, California.

Valerie Gates: Patient Goes Missing After Walking Out of San Francisco General Hospital (Update)

Update 11:45 a.m.: Good news: Valerie Gates was located about an hour ago and is safe. According to Officer Albie Esparza, sheriff's deputies located Gates at 16th and Potrero at about 10:40 a.m. She is now back at the hospital being treated.

Original Story 7 a.m.:
San Francisco police need your help locating 34-year-old Valerie Gates, who reportedly walked out of San Francisco General Hospital last night while being treated for a recent injury.

Officer Albie Esparza says Gates was had been at the hospital after a recent surgery on her neck. She is considered at-risk because she still needs vital post-op medications, authorities say.

Bradley Bennett: Cops Looking for Missing USF Student

San Francisco police are looking for Bradley Bennett, a 32-year-old University of San Francisco student who has been missing since Jan. 3.

Officer Albie Esparza says Bennett was spotted in Fresno on Jan. 8 -- five days after he last had contact with someone. He was reportedly seen again on Jan. 13 in Bear Valley, Ca. He was last seen wearing dirty clothing and may appear to be homeless.

Nancy Bakir: Family Searching for Missing High School Student

South San Francisco police are searching for Nancy Bakir, a 15-year-old high school student who disappeared from El Camino High School campus on Friday.

According to the missing persons poster, Bakir was last seen at her lunch break on Jan. 10, 2014. She has not been seen or heard from since.

Bakir is described as a 5-foot-5 female with hazel eyes and brown hair. She has fair skin and weighs between 130 and 140 pounds

Luke Arduini: Yahoo Programmer Goes Missing After Partying in S.F. on New Year's Eve

Oakland police are trying to find 28-year-old Luke Arduini who mysteriously disappeared after spending New Year's in San Francisco.

According to press reports, Arduini, a Yahoo programmer, posted photos of his night online right before hopping an Uber car to his apartment in Oakland.

That was the last time anyone has heard from Arduini.

Police have said there's evidence he did make it home, although where he went afterward is a mystery.

Lynne Spalding: Cause of Death Revealed

Facing criticism from the family of Lynne Spalding, the 57 year-old woman whose body was found in a stairwell at SF General Hospital, the city medical examiner released its preliminary cause of death today -- although only a few people got to see it.

According to local news station KTVU, Spalding died of "probable electrolyte imbalance with delirium (Clinical Sepsis) while in stairwell. Due to complications of ethanolism (Clinical history)." She disappeared from her hospital room two days after receiving surgery for a urinary tract infection, and was found dead three weeks later.

Jenna Blue: Have You Seen This Missing Woman?

Friends and family are looking for Jenna Blue, a 41-year-old transgender woman who went missing in San Francisco in September and was officially classified as a missing person this week.

According to a flyer, Blue has not been seen since September, and her last known residence was the Plaza Apartments at 988 Howard St. She is known to frequent the SOMA neighborhood.

Vigil Planned for Men Missing in San Francisco

On Thursday, families and loved ones will gather on the steps of City Hall for a candlelight vigil, to refocus efforts on finding these men, some who have been missing for several years.

Lynne Spalding: Witness Who Saw Body in Stairwell Comes Forward

A witness who saw Lynne Spalding's body on the stairs days before authorities discovered it has come forward, according to a hospital news bulletin posted late this afternoon. The man, whom hospital spokespeople say is a UC San Francisco researcher, sought San Francisco police after seeing fliers released in late October attempting to track him down. Police interviewed him last week.

The witness saw and reported a figure in the locked stairwell four days before the corpse was found by a building engineer on Oct. 8. That worker told a supervisor, who then checked the stairwell -- but claimed he saw nothing.
