And you haven't even gotten to your shitty job yet
All those long, thankless hours you work to pay for that studio apartment you actually can't afford is clearly wearing you down.

And we have the statistics to prove it. According to a new survey, San Francisco is the fourth most stressed-out city in America. In other words, those worry knots are real. Movoto.com, a real estate blog, looked at a bunch of factors, including, work hours, commutes, unemployment rate, and cost of living, to determine how just how badly we're losing it, mentally.

After analyzing these metrics, Movoto determined that the high cost of living in San Francisco is squarely to blame for our mounting mental anxiety.

Per the blog:

The cost of living index in San Francisco was higher than any of the other 99 places we looked at for this ranking, coming in at a staggering 52 percent higher than the national average. San Francisco has the ... second highest population density, and seventh worst commute time.

Only Miami, New York, and Washington, D.C. (politics) were more stressed out than us.

But if this news has swayed your decision to dump your image and move to Oakland, you might want to reconsider: The survey shows that Oakland is the ninth most stressed-out city, thanks to prolific violent crime on top of a high cost of living.

We'd suggest a two-hour massage, but we know you probably can't afford it? In lieu of that, we've researched some stress-management tips for you to employ. You're welcome.

Duhh why.do you think?.the working class is being driven out of san francisco to make room for techies... On top of that the working class is struggling to make living . Why do you think.we're stressed out? People are being kicked out of their homes and rents are becoming NY status- that high.

And most of the stress comes from constant fear of evictions. Sad, really. BUT, go on vacation & come back homeless?

The fear of crackheads and thugs robbing me for my phone at any moment definitely stresses me out. Also constant vigilance to avoid stepping in human feces and urine. Oh and how I'm going to spend 80% of my paycheck on rent...

Im not stressed at all. If I feel any kind of stress i go take a walk at Crissy Fields or Embarcadero or Bakers Beach or walk around Union Square or Catch a baseball game. Point is the city has lots of things to get your mind right and take in the beauty that is San Francisco
