More Rain to Fall on San Francisco

Categories: Weather

This is news for one obvious reason: when's the last time we had two storms in less than a month!

That should make you very-parched people happy -- and soaked.

According to the National Weather Service, the rain could start dropping as early as tonight, and by tomorrow, you can expect to see showers, as the chance of precipitation climbs to 100 percent.

The rain will continue through the night, dumping between 1 and 2 inches of water on our very thirsty region. Mother Nature might even mix things up a little and bring thunderstorms to San Francisco.

Don't expect things to dry up for in time for your weekend picnic plans. There's a 90 percent chance of rain on Friday and light showers are expected again on Saturday and Sunday.

If you can't handle a little rain, then leave. Grab your snowboard and head up to mountains where we hear there will be up to two feet of brand new snow at the Sierra ski resorts.

Don't let these weeklong showers make you cocky -- we're still in a bad drought and you still need to conserve water.
