That's you right now
Update 5:30 p.m.: Good news: trains are moving again. The bad news is, there are still nasty delays after all trains were halted in San Francisco for 30 minutes. "We've been given the all clear from the police department," says Alicia Trost, spokeswoman for BART. "It's not clear if the suspect was taken into custody or if the suspect got away."

Update 5:17 p.m.: All trains between Daly City and Powell Street have been stopped while police continue their search for their suspect. The cops are saying they will continue looking for another 10 minutes. If they don't find whoever it is they are looking for, and the tunnels are all clear, they will resume BART service again. Meanwhile, BART is turning trains around at the Montgomery Street station to try and ease congestion at the station.

Original Story 4:55 p.m.: All BART trains have stopped between the 16th Street and 24th Street stations while police comb the tracks looking for a wanted suspect.

According to Alicia Trost, spokeswoman for BART, the trains came to a screeching halt just before 5 p.m. "We currently have all trains stopped as the SFPD is trying to get this person into custody," she says.

"There is a major delay at San Francisco stations in the SFO, Millbrae and East Bay directions," according to Trost. In other words, the stations are packed with a lot of grumpy commuters.

No word on how long you will be waiting, but hopefully you brought a book.

It's not ridiculous, a lot of things happen. I'm thankful that there is a rail system in the Bay Area. Especially for people who don't want to waste gas, and that can't drive. Just weird this has been happening

The same thing happened last Friday. Bart police had to stop the train to Dublin because they were handling a situation.

I'm just getting home from 16th Mission going to Fremont Bart. Ridiculous!!! No other rail system statewide has problems like Bart.

Thank you for updating. I stood outside gates at @Montgomery until 5:40pm as Bart locked everyone out but the worst was No announcements! Not even from the station agents. I guess I should be happy Bart didn't derail ... again.

BM robbed someone on the street and ran down into the track way to evade arrest. That is what happened.

What are the suspects suspected of doing?  Not paying their parking tickets?  Possessing an ounce of weed?
