Local news crews got their hands on this disturbing video which shows an unidentified man repeatedly kicking a person sleeping in a San Francisco street one recent morning.

KTVU has a copy of the surveillance clip which shows the attack near Third and Bryant streets at about 4:45 a.m. on Wednesday. The video shows the attacker walking along the street when he spots a sleeping person; he then walks over and stomps on the person's head several times.

Afterward, the attacker walks away -- calmly.

Watch:

Police told the news station that no report was ever filed, so it's not known how injured the assault victim was. As shocking as the video was, Jennifer Friedenbach, director of the Coalition on Homelessness, told KTVU that she wasn't surprised -- homeless people are attacked all the time, she said.

"It's really sickening to see violence against anybody and especially when someone is already in such a vulnerable position doesn't have a place to sleep," she said.

Sad.

David William Wagner WOW. Thank you for the warnings. Your city transit run over people. Patrons on BART light other people on fire, and now this. SF is an unsafe place obviously. How sick do you have to be to live in SF? reality check- the fire episode, horrible as it was, happened in Oakland on an Oakland (AC TRANSIT)bus. reality check- the only lead they had yesterday (from a guy who saw the video and lives in the area) was another transient. "How sick do you have to be to live in SF?"

Well, what I find even more disturbing, is that being homeless is illegal now in most major cities. I know this true for SC, an heard it was the case in SF. I'm sure that's the reason, no homeless person files a report. They'll get locked up in a FEMA camp, with no way of getting out This is far worse then, the random acts of violence, being caught on camera, but you won't hear the news talking about that, of course. We live in very scary Orwellian times now, an the news is not going comment on this fact.

That homeless person is likely a U.S. veteran, and what's this guy? A thug. A nothing. What a waste of space.
