Not the actual cat.
San Francisco police are on the hunt for a man who drowned a woman's two cats after tossing them into the Bay Monday evening.

Officer Albie Esparza says that a homeless woman, known to locals as the "Cat Lady," was walking with her bags on the 100 block of the Embarcadero Monday evening when a man walked up to her, grabbed her bags, and tossed them into the water.

The bags had all her personal belongings, including her two cats.

The woman started screaming and witnesses saw her try to jump into the Bay to save her furry friends. Both police and firefighters were called to the scene where they dispatched a boat to look for the kitties.

Police found the bags; one cat was located inside, but was dead, and the second cat has not been located, Esparza said.

The suspect fled and has not been seen since. Animal Care & Control is working with the victim to track down the suspect, who was only described as a man wearing all black. He was also carrying a skateboard.

"I don't know if the man knew there were cats in the bag," Esparza told us.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact San Francisco Police at 575-4444.

My question is! Why would you have your kitties in a bag in the first place?????

Regardless of cats, I have trouble understanding why someone would even have a desire to do something like throw someone's only possessions away.

No accountability for personal actions -people want mayhem for a diversion like virtual reality!
