The same day Thomas Burnoksi, the city gardener accused of running over 35-year-old Christy Svanemyr and fleeing the scene, was arraigned, his teenage son, Jonathan, was arrested on suspicion of hit and run.

According to ABC News, police arrested Jonathan Burnoski, 19, after he struck a bicyclist while making a right turn in the Outer Mission a few minutes after leaving his father's arraignment on Wednesday. Police told the news station that the younger Burnoski reportedly drove off, but a witness followed him and called the police.
Prosecutors are still deciding on whether to charge Burnoski with hit-and-run. We've out in a call to the District Attorney's Office to get more information on this case, and will update you when we hear back.

On Wednesday, Thomas Burnoski pleaded not guilty to felony vehicular manslaughter. On Sept. 5, Svanemyr was sunbathing in Holly Park with her infant daughter, Isa, when a city truck plowed toward the family, running over the young mother. She died at San Francisco General Hospital.

A few minutes later, Burnoksi was arrested and charged with hit and run.
