Also not hard to believe, the Bay Area is probably the most bummed out by public transit, including Muni, BART, etc. where only 12 percent of commuters were "extremely happy" with their ride to wherever -- drunk or sober.
Setting aside the obvious pitfalls of public transit -- delays, strikes, crowds, unforgettable scents (and not the good kind) as well as the guy who prefers to hump his BART seat -- here are some less obvious reasons the Bay Area still hasn't warmed up to transit.
