Boozing Dude Illustrates How Malt Liquor and Muni Are a Horrible Mix

Categories: Angry People

Every sip counted ...
Anyone who's ridden public transit knows that just about anything goes. Picking your nose or snoring on the bus is perhaps some of the lighter moments you'll experience while en route to your destination.

And then there are the darker times, the ones that inevitably involve malt liquor, nakedness, and probably fare evasion.

But even among all the disagreeable things we've seen/heard on transit, this boozing passenger seems to have taken Muni ugliness to a whole new level with his rhythmic and insulting diatribe that's a hell of a lot more bitter than the malt liquor he was sipping yesterday afternoon.

If you're feeling especially sensitive today, then beware. This guy doesn't mince words:

We only post this to confirm that indeed it's them, not you.

I'm more offended by the stupid vertical video than the boorish drunken rant.

And he's allowed to drink away, and no one is stopping him? Why is the driver allowing this?

We need to keep Negroes and old Chinese women OFF the muni.

Using this guy as an example of why booze and muni don't work is like using the cyclist who killed the old man as proof that all people who ride bikes are bad.  Drinking on the bus can be a great way to pass the time.

I'm thinking the 9 or 9L.  For instances like this, I could tolerate the driver stopping the bus and either asking the man to exit or just parking and waiting for the police to escort him off.  Pretty good chance he just stepped on thru the backdoor, didn't pay and figures in his own head that it's his right not to have to pay.

He's a horrible human being, but I see some real shame behind his eyes at certain points. anger and shame. I wonder how his life ended up so badly.

I usually say "shut the fuck up." It works pretty well. Try it some time. I'm tired of being the only asshole who stands up to idiots like this while others pull out their video cams, then whine later.

The driver, maybe. But what are passengers supposed to "say?" You think he's ready to listen to reason?

And nobody says a damn thing ... not even the driver. Everybody on that bus should be ashamed of themselves.

And you wonder why people prefer driving their car.

They don't enforce drinking or eating rules on the bus.  Ever.  They don't even enforce having people pay to get on the #24.  I've got videos of people getting onboard, up to 8 at a time through the back door, with not a single person either using their Clipper card or showing a transfer.
I've often thought that I should just bring a cigarette and light up, just to see what happens.  (I don't even smoke!)

@John Lilly I wouldn't recommend that. These folks are nuts, and ultra violent. He would have no problems kicking, scratching and spitting on you. You want that?

@I too would tell him to be quiet. If he came at me physically, I would finish him. If he continued ranting, I would take him down and perform a citizen's arrest.
