BART Swears It's Not Responsible for Transit Stickers Calling Unions "Brats"

Sticks and stones ...
If you're a regular BART passenger you might have noticed these somewhat new stickers appearing on train cars in the last few weeks which, without naming names, refer to the unions as "brats."

While the obvious culprits are BART managers, Rick Rice, spokesman for the transit agency told us that in no way was the BART District involved in the childish and inaccurate sticker art.

"We have been seeing and removing those stickers for several weeks," Rice told us via email. "The District has no idea of the source -- it certainly isn't anything we have done or approve of."

That's good news. It would be somewhat distressing to find out that amid a serious dispute over money, the district spent money on a name-calling campaign.

On another note, the two sides were back at it today, and, no, things are not going well.

It always comes From the Top Down, BART employees rude attitudes are a mirror reflection of BART management, they are equally selfish and self serving.   Unfortunately the public's caught in the middle, not unlike a child caught in the middle of a nasty divorce between two self-centered egomaniacs.

Bart felt the need to clarify they weren't from them...good they understand where were coming from eh.

I think it's BART's PR Firm, Singer & Associates.  They're famous for smearing the underdog, they're responsible for the smear campaign against Oscar Grant, and those two guys that got mauled by the tiger at SF Zoo.  Scumbags.

How dare those ungrateful workers ask for a small raise from a profitable agency after giving wage and benefit concessions when the agency was struggling. Those suckers should work for free I say.

I'll take their job too! They can take their raise and shove it... Everybody else is struggling too!

Maybe the stickers aren't theirs, but Bart has been using their official communications to say pretty much the same thing as this sticker.

I agree with Alex. It's time for a citizen's revolt against Bart. High prices, dirty and out dated trains, not enough cars for the amount of people riding, no thanks. FUCK BART

The working class is made of people that don't have organizations representing their rights. These people are a bunch of privileged assholes threatening the real working class' means of making a living.

Yep saw one a month ago. Told some other riders about it and promptly got called a hater of the working class & bigot for pointing it out.

@Gabriela Perez So you want to steal someone else's job!?  That's a new low.

@Mamer  Yeah, as stupid move on their part, no doubt but through it all, that lawsuit did change the accessibility to said tigers, and those "poor souls" won judgement against Singer & Assoc. too.  Seems even smearing dumbasses in the media can only get you so far.
