Amelie Le Moullac Identified as Cyclist Killed in SOMA Big Rig Collision Yesterday (Update)

Update 12:07 p.m.: The victim's employer makes a statement. Read at the bottom of the story.

Medical authorities this morning identified the cyclist who was killed yesterday as 24-year-old Amelie Le Moullac, a San Francisco resident.

Le Moullac was pedaling along Sixth and Folsom streets shortly after 7 a.m. when she collided with a big rig as the driver made a right turn, said Sgt. Dennis Toomer.

She was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where she died.

the truck driver remained at the scene, but was reportedly not cited.

Police say they are still investigating the incident.

Update: LeMoullac worked at Voce Communications, a Bay Area public relations firm. Her company released a photo and the following statement on its website this morning:

In memory of Amelie LeMoullac, one of our beloved family members here at Voce/Porter Novelli. We miss you dearly. We will miss your smile, your humor, your wit and your friendship. You are irreplaceable and unforgettable.
