Be careful out there
Update 9:40 a.m.: Good news: the victim's injuries have been ungraded to non life-threatening and she's expected to survive.

San Francisco police are asking the public to help locate the driver who carelessly plowed down a pedestrian late last night, and then sped off.

Officer Gordon Shyy says at about 9:10 p.m., a 59-year-old woman was walking at Third and Revere streets in the Bayview when an unknown, dark vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed hit her.

The driver kept going, leaving the badly injured victim behind, Shyy said. After receiving multiple 911 calls, police arrived and found the victim lying in the street, Shyy said. The woman was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening internal injuries.

The vehicle was last seen headed south on Third Street. The cops are asking anyone who might have seen the accident to give them a call now at 575-4444.
