Otto Brown Identified as Man Killed in Bayview, Two Others Shot (Update)
Update 11:25 a.m.: Medical authorities identified the man who was killed as 30-year-old Otto Brown.
Original Story 7 a.m.: An unidentified man was gunned down Sunday afternoon in the city's Bayview District, according to police.
At about 3:05 p.m., police were called to the 700 block of Kirkwood Avenue on reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found the victim, a 30-year-old San Francisco resident, with multiple gunshot wounds.
He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he was pronounced dead, said Sgt. Dennis Toomer.
Police units were at the scene Sunday afternoon, canvassing the area for evidence and looking for witnesses, however, they had no suspect description at press time.
Nearly four hours later, two more men were shot near the Civic Center where the Gay Pride event was being held. According to police, the two male victims were shot in the leg near Larkin and Grove streets at about 6:35 p.m.
They were both taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Police say they are unsure as to whether the two victims were the intended targets.
No arrests have been made, however, police said the suspect was last seen running on Larkin Street and was described as a black male, unknown age, wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt.
