Yeiner Perez, Bart's Infamous Naked Acrobat, Maybe Spotted Performing on the Embarcadero (Video)
People are claiming they've spotted the infamous Yeiner Perez (or at least someone with the same big hair) performing his circus stunts for tourists on the Embarcadero.
Which one of them doesn't belong?
SFist posted this video that came from a reader who says he bumped into Perez on stilts, and this time, he was clothed, which is one reason we can't be 100 percent certain it's Perez. Although, as SFist points out, the costume he's wearing in the video is similar to some you'll find in his Facebook photos.
See what you think:
It makes sense that he'd be working the streets since he was officially fired from his other job as a circus performer with the troupe Clowns Not Bombs. The group sent SF Weekly an email this morning informing us that Perez was "terminated" after the May 10 incident where he was caught on video at the 16th Street BART station naked and attacking commuters in between handstands and other gymnastics.
Perez was taken to a local hospital for a psych evaluation and was arrested on suspicion of battery. However, no charges were filed and he was later released for reasons authorities have yet to answer. Since then, BART has come up with even more evidence against him, and has issued a warrant for his arrest. The DA's Office told us this morning it is considering filing charges.
In the meantime, Perez seems to be carrying on with his life in San Francisco.
