Teeny Tiny Tree House Door Replaced With Crappier Teeny Tiny Tree House Door
It's one frustration after another when dealing with the city.
After flustering the masses by removing the adorable tree house door from Golden Gate Park, city officials promised they'd replace it, and replace it they did. As richmondsfblog.com astutely noted, the city screwed in an untreated imitation door that'll almost certainly lower property values.
Earlier this week, the door disappeared abruptly, leaving San Franciscans feeling out of sorts. Then Rec and Parks officials fessed up to removing the door and uprooting the teeny tiny occupant; city officials claim the door's hinges were damaging the tree.
But after much media attention and dissatisfaction among the public, the city put this crappy door up instead. Sadly, we won't even get to enjoy this eyesore of a door for long; Rec and Park officials told the Chronicle yesterday that at some point soon, they will take the door down for good.
Shouldn't there be a public hearing first?
