It's confirmed that Craigslist, the Bay Area -- and now the world's -- most visited online classifieds, will take over the running of Bay to Breakers.

Craigslist announced the exciting news last night, saying they're pumped to be pairing up with another one of San Francisco's places to tap your inner freak.

Per the CL blog:

Zazzle, the Redwood City-based company that serves as a platform for crappy T-shirts and mugs, bailed on the 102-year-old footrace earlier this year, for unknown reasons. San Franciscans who thrive on being drunk in costume were left to wonder what the hell would happen to the May 19 race.

Wonder no more.

"We're tickled pink to sponsor Bay to Breakers," said Craigslist CEO Jim Buckmaster. "A fellow San Francisco institution, this storied footrace celebrates the unique character of our colorful city, drawing fans and participants from around the world."

So what's Craigslist going to get out of this new partnership, besides more weirdos and missed connections? According to B2B, which is owned and operated by AEG, Craigslist will get prominent on-course signage, inclusion in all marketing and advertising collateral, some lovin' on the official Bay to Breakers website and social media platforms as well as race entries.

Get your "WTF" costume ready.
