Dominic Scott Identified as Man Murdered in Bayview Today

What the hell is wrong with people?
Medical authorities have identified the man who was gunned down early this morning in the city's Bayview District as 22-year-old Dominic Scott.

According to the Examiner, neighbors called the cops just before 8:30 a.m. after hearing gunshots. When police arrived at the scene, located at Third Street and Palou Avenue, they found Scott with multiple gunshot wounds.

He was taken to a local hospital where he died this morning.

Police spotted the shooting suspect who attempted to escape the scene. Officers chased down the man who was arrested on suspicion of murder, however, police have not yet released the suspect's name.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call police at 575-4444 or Text-a-Tip at TIP411 with "SFPD" in the message. Police will also be canvassing the area for possible video surveillance that may have caught the incident on tape, said Officer Albie Esparza.

No word on whether the shooting was gang-related.
