Cops chase down suspected shooter
Yesterday, just before 8:30 a.m., police were called to Third Street and Palou Avenue after neighbors heard gunshots. When the cops arrived, they found the victim, 22-year-old Dominic Scott, with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died.
The cops spotted Williams trying to escape the crime scene; they chased him down and arrested him a few blocks away from the shooting. Later, they found a gun in the wheel well of a car parked at the crime scene.
Sgt. Michael Andraychak says police aren't ready to release Williams' booking photo just yet, pending identification matters. However, he did confirm that the Fairfield resident was charged with homicide, a gang enhancement, possessing a firearm, and carrying a concealed firearm.
We'll update the post as soon as we get our hands on a booking photo.
