What the hell is wrong with people?
San Francisco police are asking for your help in trying to figure out what happened to a 35-year-old woman who was found on a Tenderloin sidewalk last night after what appeared to be a brutal assault.

According to Officer Gordon Shyy, witnesses were walking by the 100 block of Leavenworth about 10:10 p.m. when they spotted the bleeding victim unconscious on the ground.

Police arrived and determined the woman had multiple facial fractures and serious head trauma. It did not appear that she had been robbed, police said.

"Her injuries are consistent with an assault, possibly with a unknown object or weapon," Shyy told us.

The woman was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Anyone with information about this incident should contact SFPD anonymously at 575-4444, or text a tip to TIP411.
