What the hell is wrong with people?
San Francisco police say two people were killed over the weekend, including a 78-year-old man who died from his injuries after being assaulted last month.

Officer Albie Esparza says that on Friday at about 5:45 p.m. the Medical Examiner's Office notified police that the elderly man who was assaulted on the morning of Jan. 28 had died. Esparza told us that the victim was on the corner of Market and Post streets at about 11:04 a.m. when a man threw him to the ground.

The Medical Examiner has not yet identified the victim.

The suspect was described as a white man in his 40's; he was about 5-foot-8, and was wearing a brown hoodie and brown pants. He was last seen headed down Market Street.

Also on Friday night, a 20-year-old man was shot in the head on the 600 Block of Capitol. Police had no more information on the shooting, however, medical authorities identified the victim as 20-year-old Lawrence Collins of San Francisco.

Anyone with information regarding these two incidents is asked to contact SFPD anonymously at 575-4444, or Text-a-Tip to TIP411.

There are definitely more good people than bad, unfortunately the bad get the bigger headlines.

@everywhere That's because the "good people" move out of San Francisco and SF politicians openly invite the "bad people" to this city as a constituent voting block.

@everywhere That's because ' good people ' don't imperatively snuff out other people's lives..

Bad people do cast a very long , dark shadow.
