Surfing Dolphins Make a Splash in San Francisco

With all the recent (disturbing) talk about sex with dolphins, we thought we'd shift the narrative a bit, take the dolphin out of the bedroom and back to the ocean where it belongs.

The never-disappointing local nature photog David Cruz made it easy for us when he sent along these shots of dolphins surfing the swells at Sutro Baths earlier this week. According to Cruz, a half-dozen dolphins breached and stayed in the general area before heading north toward the Golden Gate.

Cruz explains that as of late, he's also spotted California Sea Lions and Harbor Seals at the same location, so keep your eyes peeled if you are near the Cliff House.
