SFPD Releases Video of Suspect Accused of Killing Dog During Robbery
Police have released surveillance video showing the man who they believe robbed a woman and killed her barking dog named Roxie. ![]()

According to police, the suspect pictured in the video approached the victim's car at about 5 p.m. on Dec. 28 as she pulled over on Leavenworth and McAllister streets to look for her cellphone that had fallen under her car seat.
As the victim walked over to the passenger side door of her car, the suspect leaned over and grabbed the victim's shirt and started digging in her pockets. The suspect found a small amount of cash, but demanded more.
The victim's dog was still in the car and started barking at the robber. The suspect grabbed the victim's dog and slammed the pup onto the street in front of a moving car. The dog was taken to the vet where it later died.
