According to Officer Albie Esparza, officers were called to the 700 block of Grove Street just before 8 p.m. on reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found the victim suffering from two gunshot wounds: one in his leg and one in his chest.
He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he died a few hours later. Esparza said the cops have yet to determine a motive for the shooting, nor do they have a description of the suspect at this time.
The shooting marks the city's 63rd homicide this year. The night before Thanksgiving, 36-year-old Angelo Rodriguez was shot to death near the Sunnydale housing projects. That case remains under investigation.
Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact SFPD at 575-4444, or text a tip to TIP411 with SFPD in the field.
