Cops Looking for Teen Who Escaped Juvenile Jail Last Night

Categories: Crime

Well, that was easy
A 16-year-old kid is on the lam today after he bolted from San Francisco's juvenile hall as he was being transported late last night.

Officer Gordon Shyy says the kid -- who has not been named -- was being extradited about 9:30 p.m. from San Bernadino to the Youth Guidance Center in San Francisco. The transport vehicle pulled into the sally port at the facility when the juvenile escaped on foot.

The transport vehicle chased after the kid, but lost track of him. SFPD was called out to search for the missing juvenile.

"So far we have not located the juvenile -- there are still units looking for him," Shyy says.

The juvenile is described as a black male last seen wearing a glittery black tank top and acid-washed dark jeans. Police say the teen is not considered dangerous; however, if you do see him, call 911 -- do not approach him or confront him.
