The driver remained at the scene and was cooperating with police; meanwhile investigators were recreating the accident to determine what happened -- whether Wing was in a crosswalk and walking legally, said Officer Carlos Manfredi.
Coincidentally, the accident occurred the same day the District Attorney launched a campaign called "What's the Rush?" asking pedestrians and drivers to be more cautious during the holidays when streets are packed with shoppers.
