The Mayans couldn't have predicted a better day for the world to end -- not only is it Friday, but it's payday. So if you wasted your whole (last) year on Earth being nicer than naughty, tonight is your night.

What we've noticed from the Earth-ending excitement is that nothing will bring people together like anticipation of an apocalypse. Hotels and restaurants are offering doomsday deals and party animals are organizing massive brouhahas to mark this major day.

But if you are anything like us, then you'll go through today as if there is a tomorrow -- though that's not stopped us from watching end-of-the-world anticipation unfold, especially via Internet memes:
