Awful Head-on Collision Halts Traffic on Golden Gate Bridge

Original story 8:39 a.m.: Traffic is at a standstill on the Golden Gate Bridge after a head-on collision occurred this morning.
According to CHP, all northbound lanes are closed and two southbound lanes on the Bridge have been closed, bringing traffic to a near dead-stop, Officer Ron Chastain told SF Weekly.

Tow trucks are en route to clear the accident, which occurred at about 8:11 a.m. Chastain said he couldn't confirm injuries, but said "it looks like there might be injuries."
"I know the traffic is very, very heavy," he said.
