Plus rain
The much-anticipated rainstorm has landed -- and not even the worst of it.

Of course, those folks trapped in the air, trying to land at SFO might feel differently right about now. Airport officials are reporting major delays for arriving flights of up to three-and-a-half hours.

In addition, 20 flights heading to and from airports in Orange County, Monterey, Santa Barbara and other West Coast destinations have been canceled, according to SFO officials.

Luckily, for those of you trying to get out of San Francisco and away from this rain, you won't be delayed if you leave now. The airport says there were no delays for departing planes as of 8:15 a.m. That won't holdup for long, airport duty manager Nancie Parker says you can expect delays later this afternoon at SFO for arriving and departing flights. So get out of here fast!

The Bay Area is expecting major rainstorms through Sunday, with the heaviest rainfall Thursday and Friday. When it's all said and done, we should see about 8 inches of rainfall in the region. Add that to 40 mph winds and you have a good reason to stay indoors all weekend and watch movies.
