Quiet Halloween for San Franciscans

Whether it was the rain or just an exhausted city recovering from celebrating the Giants, San Francisco had a quiet Halloween this year.

With a low number of incidents in the city last night the extra police were almost not needed. Almost.

Police recorded only five incidents last night, including a fight on a crowded bus, a Tenderloin stabbing, two backpack thefts in the Mission, a bike-jacking, and a Muni bus hitting a pedestrian.

Even the notoriously feisty Castro District was relatively calm last night, with no reports of trouble.

Seems like the biggest partiers were the scores of little kids in costume running house to house.
