Obama Is President Again
Categories: Election 2012
Mitt Romney hasn't yet conceded, but ... it's safe to say Barack Obama will grace America with another four years as our leader. According to news outlets everywhere, Obama was reelected president after winning the battleground state of Ohio.
While Romney was looking for his concession speech that he supposedly never wrote, Obama campaign immediately tweeted out a big thank-you to his supporters.
Down at the University of San Francisco, students watched as Obama was announced the winner of the presidential election -- and they were thrilled.
Ruiz Plascencia, a 20-year-old junior, told SF Weekly that "there were a lot of discrepancies in what Romney had to say -- Obama was a more viable candidate."
And Andrew Roman, an 18-year-old freshman, said he was relieved by the results. "Romney is trying to take away my rights as a gay man," he said. "Romney would be the second coming of Bush."
