The shelter tells us they are giving away all animals with orange and black markings as a way to celebrate the Giants while also enticing folks to come down to the shelter and take one of these adorable animals off their hands.
The Giants pride promotion will continue until the last game is played (in other words, when the Giants win).

In addition, the staff over at the SPCA got into the competitive spirit and placed a bet with the Michigan Humane Society. If the Giants win -- and they will -- MHS will shell out $10 to go toward 10 SF SPCA adoptions. If the Tigers win -- which they won't -- the SF shelter will do the same.
"We'll be talking some friendly smack about them on our Facebook page until the Giants win and MHS has to cough up some dough," said Krista Maloney, spokeswoman for the SPCA.
