Man Mysteriously Loses Earlobe at BART Station
| Not in the lost and found |
But that's what happened Saturday night on the 16th Street BART plaza. According to Officer Albie Esparza, a 46-year-old man was headed to BART at about 9:22 p.m. when he "heard a noise behind him."
The victim woke up about 10 minutes later and found his earlobe missing, Esparza says. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he was treated for a missing lobe.
Police are puzzled by the incident, saying it appears as though someone sliced off the man's earlobe; however, it's unclear why. "That plaza is crowded, so someone must have seen something," Esparza tells us. "Sixteenth and Mission has crime cameras so part of the investigation is to review those to see what happened."
We'll definitely let you know what happened to this guy's lobe when we find out more.
