Why can't we all just get along?
Update 11:50 a.m.: Police say the driver had car trouble and was walking to a nearby gas station when he spotted the victim slumped over. The victim, who was able to talk, asked the man to drive him to the hospital. The victim later told police he had been shot when in fact he had multiple stab wounds to his face and torso. He is expected to survive.

Original Story (10:20 a.m.): Police are investigating a mysterious stabbing that occurred yesterday morning in the Portola neighborhood.

According to Officer Gordon Shyy, a driver was passing by the intersection of San Bruno and Paul avenues just before 8:30 a.m. on Sunday when he spotted a man lying on the street with multiple stab wounds.

The driver grabbed the victim -- who was only described as a 48-year-old man -- and drove him to San Francisco General Hospital, where he's being treated for life-threatening injuries.

The cops had no further information on this incident, but we will tell you more when we know more.
