Most Bay Area youngsters only dream of rubbing elbows with Giants' perfect game maestro Matt Cain. And now the starting pitcher is about to make some kids' hopes come true.

On Sunday, Matt Cain and Patxi's Pizza will treat the Petaluma Little League World Series champs to a celebratory pizza party. Team members, their families, and their coaches will be able to scarf down some Chicago-style pizza (yum!) and other eats with the baseball legend.

Festivities will begin at 10:45 a.m. and end at 12:15 p.m. (Cain has to get ready to smoke the Dodgers at AT&T later that evening.) And don't even think about bringing your kid here, because this event is not open to the public.

After their bellies are full, Cain will stick around to take photos and sign autographs for the baseball tykes. After all, he's been an inspiration for the budding team, encouraging them along the way. Before the 12-year-old players took the field against the Goodlettsville, Tennessee team for the U.S. Championship, Cain gave them a call.

"It was just showing our support and letting them know we're watching their games," Cain told media outlets.

On Sunday, Sept. 2, thousands joined the Petaluma Little League team in a parade to celebrate its historic victory. For nearly a month, the players and their families have been traveling across the country in the pursuit of winning the Little League World Series.

Looks like their hard work paid off -- and now they can relax a little and kick-it with Cain.
