SPCA Is Giving Away Kittens This Weekend
| Free! |
This is where you come in. Please adopt one of these adorable kitties. It's free, people. FREE.
"We are absolutely flooded with kittens -- we have more than we know what to do with," says Krista Maloney, spokeswoman for the San Francisco SPCA. "We are trying to get them out the door so that we can make space."
Currently, there are 175 cats crowding the shelter, and another 125 are in foster homes, but are in need of a permanent place to live.
So here are your cat and dog summertime specials:
- Adult cats (over six months) are free everyday through Labor Day.
- Kittens (under six months) are free on Saturdays and just $100 on all other days. If you are an aspiring cat lady, you can get two cats for the price of one through Labor Day.
- And no, they aren't discriminating against you dog-lovers out there. Come pick up a small pup under 20 pounds and over six months for $50.
