Words of wisdom: Remember the lyrics
If the Fourth of July didn't fulfill your patriotic quota for the summer, you're in luck: The San Francisco Bulls professional hockey team is looking for someone to sing the national anthem, and we'll get to watch the selection process.

On Saturday, Aug. 18, all wannabe Christina Aguileras will come to Pier 39 to sing a 30-second snip of the National Anthem and a verse and chorus of their favorite song. Six hopefuls will win the chance to sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" at an S.F. Bull's game.

Saturday's patriotic event will begin at 1 p.m. on the Crystal Geyser stage. The Bulls filled their panel with local celebrities, including KGO's Dan Ashley, San Jose Sharks Insider Kevin Kurz, KRON's Vicki Liviakis, and Bravo TV's Emily Morse.

But the fun doesn't end there.
After auditions, you'll have the chance to rub elbows with Bulls forward Peter Sivak, team coaches, and the Bulls' mascot, Rawhide, during a meet-and-greet at Players Sports Grill and Arcade. The judges' results will be in by 4 p.m. and the six winners will be announced.

Anyone is welcome to audition, even groups (of no more than six people). Go here by Aug. 16 if you want to participate in these auditions.

So get your 'Murica on, indulge in some deep-fried delight, and stop by Pier 39 on Aug. 18 to listen to some fresh voices and support our Bulls.
