S.F. 's Most Lovable Twins Are in Good Hands Now

There's so many ways to spend your hard-earned cash, and for those of you who live in San Francisco, most of that money goes toward rent, burritos, and coffee.

But today it seems San Franciscans opted for the regular burrito instead of the super so they could help out the city's celebrity twins, 85-year-old Marian and Vivian Brown.

As CBS News reports, donations have been pouring in through the day since the Browns' sad story made headlines earlier. The twins, who have been inseparable most of their lives and can be seen always wearing matching outfits, have been split apart after Vivian, who has Alzheimer's, fell. Doctors say she now needs round-the-clock care, which means the twins won't be able to live together in their rent-controlled apartment on Bush Street anymore.

Marian wants the two to move to a assisted-living facility so they can stay together until they die. But money has been the only thing in their way -- until now.

"The twins will be taken care of. Jewish Family and Children's Services are going to make sure they're taken care of," Barbara Farber development director of the San Francisco Emergency Assistance Fund overseen by the organization, told CBS News.

She said the money has been coming in, including $5 bills and checks for hundreds of dollars. No word on how much the twins have managed to collect, but if you are interested in helping the duo stay together, then make a donation here.
