Derrick Jackson Identified as Man Killed by BART Train
According to BART, Jackson was on the Glen Park Station tracks for unknown reasons when he was struck by a train headed toward the East Bay. The operator says he didn't see Jackson, but stopped the train because he thought he had hit something.
According to new reports, trains were single-tracking through the area for more than two hours on Saturday as crews worked to get the man out from under the train. The station reopened around 4:35 p.m.
Nobody witnessed the incident, which is still under investigation.
