| What's wrong with people? |
The man was standing outside the front of a house on the 1700 block of Sunnydale at about 7:18 p.m. when an unknown person shot him in the head and in the chest, says Officer Gordon Shyy.
The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The medical examiner told SF Weekly that they have identified the victim, but would not release his name until they have notified his family.
Police have no suspect information.
The shooting death marks the city's 39th homicide this year, and the third in the Sunnydale Housing projects in the last few weeks. Last week, 26-year-old Ermias Kassaye of San Francisco was shot in the head in the city's Ingleside neighborhood.
