Really likes jail
An alleged robber was busted twice -- the second time while he was already sitting in jail.

San Francisco police say they arrested 21-year-old Devon Williams earlier this week after recognizing him from a surveillance video from a Muni robbery back in January.

On July 25, investigators drove to the San Francisco County Jail, where Williams has been booked since Jan. 23, to interview him. When they arrived, one of the police sergeants immediately identified him as the suspect from a Muni robbery video, said Officer Albie Esparza.
According to police, on Jan. 4, Williams was riding a Muni bus near De Haro and Southern Heights when he allegedly grabbed a man's cellphone and hopped off the bus. The victim chased after the robber and wrestled the phone from the his grip.

The suspect ran from the scene, leaving behind his knit cap. Officers searched for the robber, but were only able to find his knit cap, which apparently was all they needed. The cops say they were able to pin Williams to the crime scene with a DNA match from their database, Esparza said.

And let's not forget that police say they have Williams on camera.

A call to the jail confirmed that Williams was arrested on Jan. 23 on suspicion of possessing unlawful drugs, three counts of second-degree robbery,  and two counts of buying or selling stolen property.

It seems that Williams just might have earned himself an extended stay in jail.
