Craigslist Sues JamesList, for Obvious Reasons

Craigslist, which was created in 1995 right here in San Francisco, is accusing Jameslist of swapping out the name Craig and replacing it with James to market the exact same kind of website, according to a lawsuit filed yesterday in San Francisco.
The lawsuit states that the Sweden-based Jameslist, which also provides classified ads, including cars for sale, property listings, and real estate brokers, has created such a similar website that it could potentially deceive users into thinking it's somehow connected to Craigslist's CEO James Buckmaster.
Craig claims that James is also poaching some of its users here in California, noting that there are 13 California motorcycle dealers advertising on Jameslist.

"In using the Jameslist mark, defendants have willfully and deliberately profited from Craigslist pre-established goodwill and reputation," the claim states.
Craig says James' reproduction of Craigslist will continue to be harmful, and thus wants an unspecified amount of money.
In this case, imitation is not the sincerest form of flattery.
