Can't we all just get along?
Police had a rude awakening in the Ingleside neighborhood this morning where there were two separate shootings, just a few miles apart from each other.

At 4:15 a.m., a 50-year-old Hispanic male was waiting at the bus stop at Geneva and Cayuga avenues when he was approached by two African-American males in their 20s, according to Officer Albie Esparza. One of the men, who was attempting to rob the victim, opened fire and shot the 50-year-old in the torso.

The suspects fled on foot while the wounded victim made his way to a nearby gas station where the attendant called police. Authorities arrived, and he was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Just an hour later, police were called to the 100 block of Blythedale Avenue on reports of a man lying on the ground. When officers arrived, they found the victim on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds, Esparza said.

He was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police aren't sure whether the the shooters were responsible for both incidents. Authorities are now seeking help from the public with information on either of these shootings.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact the anonymous tip line at 575-4444, or Text-a-Tip at TIP411 and include SFPD in the subject line.
