Tony Harper Identified as Man Killed in Double Shooting; Homicide No. 37

Why can't people stop killing each other?
Medical authorities confirmed that 27-year-old Tony Harper was killed in a double shooting in the city's Bayview neighborhood on Friday night.

Police say a second man was also shot; he remains at San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

According to police, the two men were at the corner of Salinas Avenue and Bayshore Boulevard at 11:30 p.m. near Candlestick Park when they were shot.

Police say they have made no arrests nor do they have suspect information to give us at this time. 

The shooting death marks the city's 37th homicide this year. Last week, a 21-year-old man was shot to death near the Sunnydale Housing projects in Visitacion Valley.
