Sierra LaMar
Santa Clara County divers announced they conducted their final search for 15-year-old Sierra LaMar's body in local reservoirs, where sonar had detected irregularities in the waterways.

Monday's search of the Uvas Reservoir was the last one, and future water searches will be based strictly on tips, spokesman Sgt. Jose Cardoza told reporters. To date, divers have scoured more than a dozen reservoirs looking for the girl's body, including Uvas, Chesborough, Coyote, Calero, Almaden, Anderson, and Guadalupe, police said.

"[They've] been searched more than once and there's been over 40 small ponds and lakes in that search as well," Cardoza told CBS.

LaMar was last seen on the morning of March 16 as she was getting ready for school. She sent a final text message to a friend that morning to make plans to meet at school and do homework. However, LaMar never made it to class that day.

Antolin Garcia-Torres, 21, was arrested on May 21 and charged with kidnapping and murdering LaMar after police found traces of the girl's DNA inside his red Jetta. They also found his DNA on her clothing that was found on the side of the road a few days after she went missing. Garcia-Torres, who lives seven miles from the girl, says he never met LaMar before, and police believe that part to be true. Police say it was a random abduction, and that LaMar and the suspect did not know each other.

Garcia-Torres' mother confirmed to authorities that her son went fishing the same day the Morgan Hill teen disappeared.

"There has been some information out there as far as Garcia-Torres' hobbies or activities and fishing. We just can't comment on that one way or another," Cardoza said. "The case does remain open; we're still focused and targeted on finding Sierra and locating her."

Garcia-Torres, who has not yet entered a plea, is expected to be back in court on July 10.

For centuries psychic and clairvouyant people  had helped the authorities to find missing people and solve difficult cases. Why not allow them to help the detectives and other authorities to look for Sierra Lamar now. It cannot hurt, it can only bring this endless puzzlement and nightmare to light. These people are gifted and cooperation with them might solve this case. My heart goes out to Sierra´s mother most of all and to the rest of the family. My prayers to Sierra , that they may find her wherever she may be. Children are so precious that they should be nortured, cared for and love.

As for me, well, I am a Prayer Intercessor and I've been praying for Sierra for some time now and I believe she is alive no matter what men think. In times past God has told me to stop praying for certain ones but not with this case so I keep on daily pleading with My Abba Father in Heaven for her release, healing and complete restoration. My belief is here>>>>When man comes to his end, it is then ALMIGHTY GOD TAKES OVER

common sense & crime stats compiled by the FBI come to a different conclusion - random abductors don't tend to hold on to their prey for long, they kill w/in 24 hrs.  this perp had no money, food, or shelter resources to hold a captive, that was not his goal when he kidnapped as he'd attempted 3 times before. Tase them, subdue them, sexually assault them, kill them...I only hope that she didn't get tased into cardiac arrest although that would've been more merciful than being tased into a temporary coma & paralysis & then get tossed, living, into a body of water.  I hope Sierra is found, sooner than later. I hope this arrogant psychopath drops the games & tells LE where her body is. jmho

umm, you have a human brain. your brain is to be used to make judgments...you do this every single moment of every single day...will i eat the rice krispies or the corn flakes / do i look better in these jeans or those / will i take my daughter out to play or shall i read to her / every. single. day. it's called "critical analysis" or "critical thinking". it's what humans were born to do with the human brain of theirs. use it or lose it.

I'm confused about this case as well. Sometimes the investigators do not make sense. I strongly feel they are looking in all the wrong places, and that they have messed up some w how they have handled this case. My heart aches for Sierra & her family.

and for his family members, except his brother & his father, who taught him how to manage in jail/prison, & may have formed his criminal mindset. jmho
