Sean Duffy, Real World Alum and Wisconsin Congressman, Stops in San Francisco

Rep. Sean Duffy (R-Wis.)
It's a bit disappointing that Wisconsin Congressman Sean Duffy doesn't campaign more on his experience as a Real World: Boston housemate. Surely, living in a lavish house with six other narcissistic strangers holding diametrically opposed world views as camera crews capture every moment is ideal preparation for a career in Congress.

This is the true story of 435 strangers, picked to work together ... volunteer some time ... have their lives taped ... and find out what happens when people stop being polite ... and start being real: the House of Representatives!

The San Francisco-based CREDO SuperPAC, for instance, stopped being polite. Its stated purpose is to "Take Down the Tea Party Ten," which the PAC defines as "some of the most odious members of the most extreme Congress in history." Duffy, a Republican, is one of those 10.

But his time in the Real World drama maze clearly taught him how to deal with conflict: He's hosting a fundraiser in San Francisco today.

To be sure, Duffy does have some ties to the city. His wife, Rachel Campos-Duffy, was a housemate on Real World: San Francisco. (You might remember Rachel Campos as the "rebellious Catholic girl" who dated David "Puck" Rainey, the watershed Real World bad boy whom People magazine tagged "the obnoxious bike messenger.")

CREDO's beef with Duffy stems from his pro-life stance and his support for Wisconsin union-busting Gov. Scott Walker. The group also calls him out for the time Duffy, who makes $174,000 annually, told constituents, "I struggle to meet my bills right now." The SuperPAC has raised around $1.2 million this election cycle, according to OpenSecrets.org.

CREDO has even opened an office in Duffy's district. The SuperPAC's volunteers, Wisconsin Public Radio reported, are "literally going the extra mile and following him in his car."

The fundraiser, held at the Presidio Golf Club, will feature special guest Orange County Rep. and Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy.

This can't be good.  What kind of person would vote for an individual that exposes themselves on a tv program called 'real world'?
