Why can't people stop killing each other?
Police are investigating an early morning homicide in the city's Bayview neighborhood, where a 22-year-old man was shot in the head while in his car.

According to Officer Albie Esparza, the victim was driving near the intersection of Meade and La Conte at about 2 a.m. when he was shot in the head. His vehicle then crashed into another parked car, according to police.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he later died, Esparza said.

Medical authorities told us this morning that they have not yet identified the victim, nor did police have a suspect description at this time.

The shooting is the city's 29th homicide this year. The last murder was on May 26, when 18-year-old Deon Walker was shot to death along the unit block of Baldwin Court.
