Fox Nation is a website where angry American men yell about liberals, stare at tiny photos of famous women's "bikini bods," and type terrible things about black people. It's like Huffington Post meets
Maxim meets the John Birch Society, all soaked in Mountain Dew.
The main page has a couple dozen stories on it each day. Often, the juxtapositions between them are amusing:
Is it some kind of progress that Fox's fear that ethnic minorities will destroy America is equaled by its fascination with ethnic minorities'
pokies?
Sometimes the stories demonstrate a certain shakiness in Fox Nation's moral view:
The message: Christian decency must be protected from Obama! Also, check out that rack!
Again and again, outrage about Obama is placed next to an invitation for patriots to slide their America-lovin' hands into their America-lovin' pants:
In Fox Nation headlines, the Kardashians -- and other famous women celebrated for a willingness to expose their breasts -- are almost as common as Obama. Sometimes, they turn up all at once:
The "male Kim Kardashian"? Let's get wet and wild, Obama! Also, note that Fox denies us any glimpse of Mr. Limbaugh's own ample cleavage.
This one's almost perfect. On the left, a poignant photo mourning that titan of all things Fox, Ronald Reagan. On the right, a peek at the decolletage of Nashville's 47th best female country singer, captioned with baffling babytalk.
Anyway, this morning Fox Nation ran this oddly demure tease:
Clicking that on the Alicia Keys link offers
up a photo of a hard-abbed Keys in a fetching two-piece bathing suit. The piece's aggregator/author/whatever is careful to compliment Keys' physique, describing her as still looking like "a Bond girl." The Fox Nation commentariat, however, was not impressed:
This is how Fox Nation works: While the actual Fox-generated content usually avoids being directly racist, the site continually provides the racists in its commenter community fresh chances to practice their odious craft. It's like Fox throws a party each day expressly designed to anger up and appeal to racist, misogynistic, and homophobic assholes -- and then pretends not to have anything to do with them when they show up.
But that's depressing! Let's get back to oglin' and Obama-hatin'!
That's how it goes at FoxNation ... the only site that lets men quake about America's doom while playing with themselves!
