Facebook's Top Check-In Spot for San Francisco: AT&T Park
|Can't find your friend? Check AT&T Park.|
In the study released yesterday, Facebook analyzed data from 25 cities, including San Francisco, and found that a majority of their users are catching a game at a sports arena. It should come as no surprise then that the city's top spot for "check-ins" is none other than AT&T Park. Chicago's Wriggly Field and L.A.'s Staple Center also grabbed the no.1 spot in their respective cities. Second place went to public areas, such as New York's Times Square. The list ended in a three-way-tie: people really like malls, roller coasters, and going to concerts.
And in Oslo, Norway? Everyone is hanging out at T.G.I Fridays.
Obviously, good weather plays a significant role in where people are most likely to congregate; in Moscow, where it's freezing cold, people are inside boozing, for instance. But we're guessing people at AT&T Park don't mind the chilly nights by the Bay as long as long as they can afford $9.50 for Bud Light and keep hoping that 2010 will be repeated this year.
You can find the complete list of Facebook check-ins here. By the way, we're still not sure how the Eiffel Tower didn't grab Paris's top spot.
