According to Officer Albie Esparza, police were called to the 100 block of Blythedale just before 6 a.m. on reports of a man shot. When officers arrived, they found Williams lying on the street with multiple gunshot wounds.
He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries, but later died, Esparza said.
Police have no leads, nor do they have any suspect information at this time. Esparza says the shooting marks the city's 35th homicide this year. Last week, 39-year-old Allen Vance and 20-year-old Chastity Dollison, both of San Francisco, were shot to death in the Bayview.
