The first robbery happened on April 30 at about 11:30 a.m. The suspect walked into a bank on the 300 block of Clay Street and demanded money from the teller.
The suspect was described as a white male, between 40 and 50 years old. He is approximately 5-foot-10 and weighs between 160 and 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a large brimmed sun hat and a black hooded sweatshirt.
This guy is believed to be responsible for several San Francisco bank robberies, as well as a bank robbery at the Bon Air Shopping Center in Greenbrae on the evening of May 14. The suspect typically presents a demand note; however, in one incident, he had a handgun, said Sgt. Michael Andraychak.
Police are looking for a second man who allegedly assisted the first suspect in one of the robberies, which occurred on May 12 at about 3:15 p.m. at a bank near Chestnut and Fillmore streets.
The second suspect is described as a white male, between 45 and 50 years years old. He is about 5-foot-5 and weighs about 165 pounds. He was last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a dark-colored jacket. He is missing three fingers from his right hand and two fingers from his left hand.
Police are also looking for a third man in an unrelated series of bank robberies in San Francisco.
